Came up with this catchy term on a Slashdot news and decided to Google it up just for fun. Wow! There’s a ton of ordinary people digging and hacking bio stuff these days, many of them on their own houses and home labs. It’s cool and scary at the same time, it’s the future and it’s coming fast. This is the next big thing, forget Internet. Just a few goodies I found while browsing:
- Yahoo! Groups for Biohacking
- SBML (Systems Biology Markup Language). What *MLs are still missing ?
- BioDash from w3.org
- Woman’s Genetic Horoscope and the BioTech Hobbyist Zine
- Biocentric Transhumanism
- MIT: Engineers of the future will swap their computers and spanners for viruses and DNA
- Bioblogs and Nanoblogs
- BioCurious (they have the “Molecule of the Month”, dgeez)
- And I went to a talk on eTech2005 about Remixing DNA
